Another crazy year is in the books people!

Of course every gig we play has SOMETHING memorable about it, but here are some highlights for you....

1st show of the Year at Harry's - Joe and Chuck's B-Day show! A jammin' good night!
Leon's in February - where Ed and Jodi got engaged on stage on Valentine's Day.
Our St Patrick's Day Bash at McMenamy's was off the chain with green goodness!!
Harry's in April for Shaboda's B-Day and our 6 Year Anniversary! Rock n' Roll!
Our 1st show at the Greenville Moose - WOW there were a LOT of drink chips!
Party on the Plaza - the weather held out - and we didn't get cancelled this time.
Sportsterz on the 4th of July! - We love that place! They treated us like Metallica.
Harry's Beach Party - Hawaiian shirts and a somewhat defalted pool as a backdrop.
Dave Grohl Alley Dedication - *Freakin' Awesome Event* - If you missed it, you suck.
Rust Fest at B&O Station - Great bands and great times chillin' in the dressing room :)
Halloween at Harry's - it's always is off the chain, and this year was no exception!
Turkey Day Weekend at McMenamy's - a huge-ass party. A great time had by all.
Christmas show at Papa Louie's - great to be back and celebrate the holidays!
New Year's Eve at McMenamy's - A lot of work but definately worth it! It Rocked!

All in all... it's been another great year for the band. I can honestly say, I have never had more fun playing with Chuck Joe and Mike.... and it's supposed to be fun, right!?! It's supposed to be a release from that ugly thing we call the 'work week'. I hope we can keep doing this for a long time to come. Thanks to all of our good friends and family for all of the continuing support. Hope to see you all at a show (or 2) in 2010.

2008: The Wrap up!

2008.... A strange year indeed.

Filled with extreme low's and extreme high's.....a rollercoaster if you will. :)

After Joe's successful operation in April to remove a vocal chord polyp, and the addition of our new drummer Chuck to the lineup in June, we were ready to rock 'n roll once again.... it was just going to take some hard work to get ready for our 1st gig back, but we buckled down, and got down to business...We have to hand it to Chuck, because he didn't have much time to prepare, and he has done a great job! We're thrilled he's on board!

Little did we know it at the time, 2008 would end up being one of our best years yet.

Our return to the stage:

Aug 2nd 2008 at the Fourth Annual Cusick Music Festival. A lot of our good friends came out to support us.... and it really was a special day for us. We also got to share the stage with some great bands again this year. It was a powerful show, and dare we say borderline emotional, because at the beginning of the year we weren't sure what the status of the band would be....so to use a quote from Joe, all things considered, we were feeling pretty damn good!

Next stop was Buhl Day:

With our 1st gig in the books, we geared up for Buhl Day. What a great time! The whole day was amazing. Again, the support from everyone was awesome... and it was the biggest outdoor stage we've played on to date. When we started our set, it felt like being shot out of a cannon. The energy was so intense you could just feel it like electricity on stage. What a freakin' rush. From the parade, to the show... and the after party... When you are a part of a great event such as this, it's something that goes down in the books as something you'll never forget.

Next was McMenamy's:

Our 1st gig at a new place, and our 1st club gig since Dec '07. Our good friends in Wicked opened up the night for us. They put on a great performance and got the night movin'! It's one of our new favorite places to play, and we'll be there a lot in 2009! :)

Missy and Matt's Wedding: Sonic Age at the Buhl Mansion!? Whhhaaatt?? You don't say! Well, yes we do say! We even had some people from across the street interested in what was up :)

Missy and Matt are great new friends of the band, It was great to be part of their special day!

Our 3rd annual Halloween Bash at Harry's was the best one yet! The Fruit of the Loom crew was in da' house!!!! It was also our 1st time back at Harry's in close to a year, and doing the whole night on our own... talk about trial by fire. :) The place was packed and it looked like a warzone when we left at 4:00 am - but that's how we roll!

Can't wait 'till next year!

The Drawbar in November:

Bad to the bone rock 'n roll party! We love the folks at the Drawbar, cuz we know they love to have a good time, and we hadn't seen them in a while, so we had a feeling the show would be a good one! This show was also known as the 'tanktop/sleeveless blowout special' night.

Our 2nd trip to McMenamy's: We came back in November, and it was 'off the chain'!!! A lot of surprise appearances from a lot of friends and 'fans', as well as our good buddy George from the Smack Daddys. (those guys are top notch... like a freakin' machine). He came up and sang a song with us... and even danced most of the night. :) If you missed this show, you definately missed a good one.

The Drawbar in December:

Just as crazy as our November show! So much so, that some pics were omitted, to protect the guilty AND the innocent!! We love you guys out there and we'll see you in Feb '09.

Finally, our last show of 2008 was "Our Rockin' Christmas Party" at Papa Louie's in December.

We hadn't been to Papa Louie's in over a year.... so the anticipation was at a high. So many familiar faces from long ago came out to support us, as well as members of Capitol Court, the Barflies, and On-3. This was another show where the energy level was surging... you could just feel it in the air!

A great way to wrap up a year that started out in the shitter, and ended on a high note.

In Closing -

We're happy that we can still do this..... with 2 lineup changes and almost 6 years later. Thanks to all of our family and friends, fans, and the fellow musicians for their kind words and support, especially when we were down and out.

We'll see ya in '09, ready to rip the roof off your weekend once again!

Well folks.... this is it.... the last day of 2007... what a year it was... here are some highlights:

The 1st one that deserves mention is the 'Monster Inside SURPRISE' party put on by Amy, Val, Carol and Laura. A surprise party to mark the release of our first CD, complete with a band history 'shadow box' and a 'Monster Inside' cake!! It was really the best! What a great evening... we love our ladies :)

The next highlight is surely the CD release party @ Harry's - We 'retired' our old banner, where the crowd got to sign it and leave some comments :) Our CD was in the jukebox....It was an awesome evening... one that will definately go down in the books as one to always remember.

Next mention has to be our St Patty's Bash @ Leon's! We always love to play St Pattys Day and this one was jammin'! We LOVE that green!

The next highlight really is something special.... we had the opportunity to do our first all acoustic gig at Barnes and Noble. We had the opportunity to play songs from the CD, and promote the sale of the CD at the store. Special thank you again to Amy @ 1st Book. It was really a special thing to walk in to the sight of Monster Inside posters, and hear your own CD playing lightly through the store PA as people read their books and sipped on their coffee. The response from the crowd and staff was a warm one....truley a great night for us - and we say thank you!

The 2007 Wrap Up can't be posted without the mention of Cusick Fest! This was the 2nd year for us and we had a great time... we're glad the weather held out this time... it was a fun day filled with beer, food, friends, and music ALL DAY LONG!!! Ya can't beat that!!!

Now we gotta talk about the HUGE Halloween BASH at Harry's..... [Eric took EXTRA time to shave his legs this year,, so we knew it was gonna rock for sure!] We even had our own softball team complete with cheerleader! We started the Halloween bash @ Harry's in '06, and because of you it's been a huge success and we're already on the books for next year. It really is the best Halloween Party in town and we have all of you to thank for it!

We also wanna mention our gig in Sarver, Pa. It's important for us to try to play new places when we can... even if it is a little bit of a trek to get there. The folks at Peter B's were great and we'll be visiting them again!

We gotta mention the fun at Billy's Black and Gold... It was Thanksgiving Weekend and it was a great gig to play before the madness of the holiday season!

In December we were one of the bands featured on CD93.3's Homegrown Show ("Monster Inside" was played) - it's great to hear a local radio station supporting local original music! Special thanks to our friend Viking Jim at The Wolf for his support!

In Closing... it's been a great freakin' year.....and really, we only have YOU to thank! Without you, we couldn't do what we do. We try to make every night, a night to remember... thanks for making it possible folks! 2008 will surely have it's highlights as well... we are learning a lot of different material and writing for CD #2! We'll just have to wait and see what the new year brings!

Hi all!

Ya know, we never stop doing something in the Sonic Age camp..... in this case that means starting to write more originals! It's been a great experience to release "Monster Inside", and all of you made it even better by embracing the music and really giving it a chance. [At the rate things are going right now, we will probably be 'out of stock' of the CD by the new year]. What a great feeling to see you singing the lyrics back to us when we play the songs live! It's rewarding to know that you dig it!

When we started this band in early 2003 (OUR 5 YEAR anniversary is just around the corner), we wanted to be more than just another cover band..... and you've made it possible for us to do that! It's been a long road so far... playing A LOT of shows at A LOT of different places. We've been in the trenches, paying our dues to make this band work! We'll never rest, because we want to make the live experience as fun and interesting as possible for the folks that come to see us. We are grateful you support us, and we want you to stay.

To those folks that always follow us... at all different venues in PA and OHIO... We are humbled by your friendship and support of this band, and we don't take it for granted, and never will. We want all of you to know that we really think you guys are the best and we want to say THANK YOU!! [You know who you are].

This fall is gonna be a kick ass time for the band... Playing in the 'new room' at Leons on OCT 13, partying with our friends at the DrawBar OCT 20, and returning to Harry's again for a crazy Halloween Bash on OCT 27.

November will be a twist: with several new places to play like Peter B's in Sarver PA and Billy's Black and Gold in Sharon PA. It's gonna be a fun time so make sure ya make it to some gigs!

What's new with Sonic Age

Hey all - its been a while since any of us have had time to post an update on whats new with Sonic Age so I just want to take a quick sec and get everyone up to speed with some of the stuff we have planned for the band. First off, this year has been pretty awesome- lots of new places to play (look for us at 804, Jump in Jack's Chicken Shack, Chestnut, and Peter B's among other places) tons of new songs and many new fans of what we do. Even thought there is a ton of local competition out there (all great and very talented) we are proud to say we still keep going strong and still stay on course- to be the best rock band we can be while still doing our own original project as well.

We are once again invited to play the annual Cusick's Music Festival along with 6 other awesome acts. This years fest promises to be the best one yet and the weather looks quite agreeable! We will be selling shirts and Monster Inside CDs for 5$ each -this event only. SO if you haven't had a chance to sample some local music now is your chance- we promise you won't be disappointed! Unfortunately, we have very limited quantities of our CD Monster Inside left, so get one while you can.

Watch for us to be doing some unplugged shows in the near future. Our first one is August 10th at Chestnut St. in Sharon Pa. Its a chance for us to do something different and for you all to hear us do some songs we wouldn't normally get the chance to do and it should be a lot of fun! We have a few more unplugged shows scheduled in the later months - we'll keep you posted.
As far as our original projects go- we have started writing songs for our next CD and it seems to be going well. Some of the songs are already sounding great even though they are barely finished! We look forward to getting this stuff tracked and sharing it with you as soon as possible!

We are proud to announce that S.I.T. Strings out of Akron, OH has given Sonic Age an endorsement deal! We welcome them into the fold along with other sponsors such as Mike's Hard Lemonade and InTune Guitar Picks and appreciate the support and the confidence they have in us. Mike & Steve will be supporting the cause and playing S.I.T. guitar strings exclusively! Also, be on the lookout for S.I.T. String give-a-way's at our shows.

With the release of our 1st full length all original CD, "Monster Inside" we have solidified ourselves as not just a typical "cover band" but as a creative force in local music here in the Valley. We have a full schedule of shows both in support of our CD and also to party and have fun with our friends - we are also planning a few other projects including a song on an upcoming Nationally released Tribute CD that we will tell you more about very soon. We have also begun writing new songs for our next CD that we will probably start recording early next year!

We are not resting on our laurels, we are committed to making a lasting mark and impression around here - while others may burn out or fade away, we are in for the long run. We Will continue to write and release Cd's as well as play all your favorite dance and party tunes. Stay tunes, the ride has just begun!

Hello people!

This is just a quick note to let you all know that Joe did a 30 minute phone interview with The Sharon Herald yesterday. They contacted him regarding the release of our new CD "Monster Inside" & our upcoming show at Drunken Jacks in Poland, OH.

We are very excited about this upcoming week's show and to have this article and interview come up as well just tops it for us. Please make sure to check in tomorrow's Sharon Herald 3/8/07 in the entertainment section for the interview, let's see if we can sell it out everywhere!

Sonic Age 2006..... Year In Review

Well it's that time again, where we sit and reflect on the year we had and what lies ahead. We had a busy year in '06, the busiest for the band thus far. We picked up several new venue's including The Grist Mill, Harry's, The Cove & Avalon Gardens, thanks to all involved for supporting us. We resumed and completed the recording of our CD entitled 'Monster Inside'. It was a long process taking several months to complete. The final mixes just came back from the studio and they sound fantastic, we are so anxious for everyone to hear this. It's 14 Tracks of all original Sonic Age goodness available for your ears in January '07! We played Party on the Plaza this year again, this will be the 4th year that Sonic Age was there and by far, this was the biggest one yet. In April we spread out and played The Cove in Geneva-on-the-Lake and that was a killer time.

Several shows stick out as hi-lights: St. Patty's day @ Papa Louie's was insane, POTP was amazing with over 1000 people and Halloween at Harry's was standing room only with a line of people at the door waiting to get in! Those are just a few of the stand outs to a full year of partying with you guys, but every show was special in one way or another!

2006 also saw Sonic Age become the 'Official Party Band' of Classic Rock Y-103...and officially kicked off the announcment by being the first local band to play at Knockout's for 600+ people! We thank the folks at Y-103 for all they have done for us and continue to do. This has already proven to be an amazing partnership and we look forward to what lies ahead. We also started Sonic Age's version of Wal*Mart this year - with a full line of merchandise that has out sold our expectations 10 fold. We thank all of you for the support and are excited every time we have to re-order stock!

Finally as we look forward to 2007 we feel a sense of pride in this band. Our CD will be out in January, so we have a lot of things planned to coincide with that and a lot of cool promotions coming up. We are also happy to be booked back at all our favorite clubs again and happy to add a few new ones to the mix including O'Donald's in Austintown & Drunken Jacks in Poland. We are planning for the long term with this thing!!! We don't want to burn out and fade away, we want to stay strong and consistent. Every year since this band has started was better than the next. Will it be hard to top this year? You bet! But there are great things ahead for us and no matter what, we know we can always count on our friends, family and fans that love and support us. We love you guys and we do this for you as much as we do it for ourselves. When you have a great time and feel pride in us, we feel it twice as much for you! We love you guys and thank you all for a killer year.

2007.......wow.....who would have thought we would be talking about the year 2007? It's almost here and it is going to kick ass! Thanks for the memories in 2006 - and here are to the ones we have yet to make in the new year! Cheers!

We had a killer time @ Knockout's last week - we have about 200 pix to post but are having some issues with our server, so stay tuned, they will be up ASAP!

Also I wanted to let you guys know that we have moved our November 18th show from Jacob's in Jamestown to Leon's in Howland, OH - it is now an Ohio State v. Michigan post game party! Come on out and hang with us at the #1 party place in Howland, the drinks will be flowing and the music jumping as we play all your favs, we will have give a ways all night as always! This is the place to be, come early and watch the game and stay late to party with Sonic Age!

Howdy Ghouls & Ghoulettes!

Saturday Night, Rocktober 28th is the day for the biggest Halloween maneuver in town! The prizes are ready, the games are planned - the band is fine tuned and ready to rock! Harry's in Sharpsville is the place to be Saturday at 9pm, we will kick off the night and the fun won't let up until the wee hours. The Sonic Age girls got together last night and put together a lot of fun things, prizes, games all sorts of killer stuff, we thank them for all their hard work. We definitely have the best and coolest wives around, Laura, Carol, Amy & Val all stepped up, as always, and are going to make this Halloween Party one to remember!

So get there early, stay late, wear a costume and come ready to party. Harry and his staff are always ready with a cold drink and great food - Sonic Age is ready to rock hard and party with you guys - the Sonic Age girls are prepared to bring the fun - its going to be a night to remember - be there - or else!

Icehouse Inn This Saturday!

Howdy everyone!

It's been a minute since we posted a new blog entry, sorry about that. We have been hard at work in the studio working on our first full length CD of all original music. The recording is all done and mixed, we are mastering it right now along with finishing up the artwork. The CD should be out in time for Christmas, so keep an eye on the website for all the details coming very soon.

Saturday night we roll back into the Icehouse in Austintown for another night full of fun. We always love playing there and hope to see all our friends out partying with us as always. This is a special 18 and over show, so it should be a fun night. Come on out and say hello, we'd love to meet you, have a beer and play your favorite song!

Hey all! Just wanted to give you an update.... this weekend has been a pretty busy one for us.... 1st off on Saturday we had a wild night at the Icehouse! As always, it was a fun night of partyin'! Some of you ladies (and you KNOW who you are!), got CRAZY! (but we won't publish THOSE photos... well at least for a small fee we won't!)... hehehehe.. then after recovering from Saturday, we went into the studio on Sunday (that's right, we're dedicated!), to record 5 more songs for the upcoming CD. Man, we are jazzed about this disc, and we can't wait for you guys to hear it. (Hopefully we will have it out by the end of the year). This weekend is another busy one for us, as we have 2 gigs on Saturday August 19th.. (CHECK OUT OUR SHOW LISTINGS FOR MORE INFO ON LOCATION) -- only one of the gigs is a public event.. the 2nd Annual Cusick Music Festival - a lot of good music and great bands, and we go on at 2 pm.

Whats up Rock N Rollers!

I don't know about you all but Sonicage is ready to rip the roof off Harrys next weekend. We just came off a short break and used the time to continue working on our upcoming album which God-willing will be available before christmas and also we've been learning a ton of new songs to add to our ever expanding set list. We will be in Sharpsville,Pa on July 29th to rock Harrys and we hope to see you all there. Just thought I'd drop a line to say Happy 4th of July to everyone and to let you all know that we will be rocking Leons in Howland OH this Saturday. Hope we see you all there because we have alot of new songs we want you all to hear. After the Leons show, we will be taking a couple of much needed weekends off to recuperate and continue plugging away at our original material after which we will be making our first ever appearance at Harry's in Sharpsville Pa on July 29th. As always, we'll have new ideas for our gigs (giveaways, prizes etc)... It's hard to keep things 'original' sometimes, but always remember: we provide more than just a typical rock show! Sonic Age Flood Relief = LOTS OF BEER!

Howdy Campers,

Man we have been having some crazy weather as of late eh? Luckily we have be spared the worse of it thus far, but I feel bad for the people who are being hard hit with the floods. I went thru it a few years ago and it sucks, so I have empathy for those who are dealing with it now.

A great way to wash away the rainy day blue is to come out to Meek's in Greenville this Friday and party with Sonic Age! We return to rip the roof off the joint, the party will be in town this weekend and you are all invited! It's been a few months since we have rolled into town, so be ready Greenville, we are on our way!

Let's talk about last weekend for a moment. We had our debut at Avalon Garden on Friday night and it was an all access party! Sherry and the girls partied with us all night long. It was awesome to not only see the staff decked out in Sonic Age gear, but also to see them on the dance floor partying with us! We managed to squeeze the Ave into our schedule a couple times for the rest of the year, but rest assured we will be there quite a bit come 2007.

Saturday night we hit The Cellar for the First Book Mahoning County chapter benefit concert. First Book gives children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books. It is an incredible organization and we are not only honored to be associated with them, we support their cause 100%. The show went off without a hitch, we met so many great people and other amazing musicians who also support this great organization. We also were proud to not only play some of our more popular covers but to also play some of our own music, debuting a new song called 'Plastic Anna" to a GREAT response, all of which will appear on our upcoming CD this fall! We also were able to debut some new merchandise, including the VERY popular Sonic Age bucket hat! It was a fun night and we look forward to doing more work with First Book, Amy and everyone else involved are amazing people and are committed to helping others.

So that's what's been going on in our world, it has been a pretty eventful few weeks. The rest of the year ahead looks to be amazing, we have some great stuff coming up. Also, 2007 will be insane for us, we are already booked well into the year with more dates coming in all the time. Keep checking the site and our MySpace page for up to date news and info.

CRAZY WEEKEND(S)

HOWDY YA'ALL - Last weekend was just crazy. We are still hearin' about it. It was the most people yet at Party on the Plaza, and we were part of it. I wish I played to 1,000 people every gig! Outdoor gigs KICK butt (of course, as long as the weather holds up, and it did this time). I just regret we didn't get brighter pictures. (digital cameras are great, but the flash doesnt exactly reach to the end of the plaza!!) :) ..but ya live and learn!

This weekend will also looks to be an exciting one. A new club for us on Friday (Avalon Gardens-23rd) and then the 1st BOOK benefit show w/ BLUSH on Sat. (24th).

Goodbye To May, Hello To Summer!

It's that time again, warm weather, swimming pools, festivals, parties and summertime fun! We'll be kicking off the summer in STYLE on June 8th at the newest party place in Howland, Without A Paddle. They are doing their 1st annual Bike Night's and have tapped us to kick off June for them and we are happy to do it! We urge everyone to come out, its Thursday night 8 - 12, get drunk, party with us and stumble into work the next day JUST like we will and tell everyone you partied with one of the area's best rock n roll party bands, Sonic Age!

We have a busy Summer coming up so take some time and check our schedule, available here on our site and at every show. We hope to see all your smiling faces throughout the Summer months. We will be taking some time in July for some much needed rest and to finish up some work on our new CD! We are pushing hard for a late fall release and will keep you posted, we are very excited about this project and are already looking ahead to the next one, I know we're insane! We had 10 years apart so we have a LOT of music to make together now, not only to make up for that lost time but to also push us ahead. We have already recorded some of the best music I think any of us have created and to be honest, we haven't even scratched the surface of what we are capable of doing.

There is not a better singer or lyricist around than Joe, his voice is soulful and powerful, all in one breath. His lyrics can make you laugh, cry , think or run in fear - he evokes emotion in his songs and that is something lacking in music today. Steve is by far the best bass player I have ever heard or had the pleasure to play in a band with, very creative, energetic and solid as a rock! He and I have played together on and off for the better part of 15 years and I am proud to stand on stage with him every night. Eric can play shit on the drums that will make your hair stand on end, he is so creative and fluent when it comes to his craft that I sometimes get lost listening to him and forget where I am in a song! And me, well I like to think that no one lays out the heavy quite like I do - put us together and we have a great chemistry that I feel can not be matched around here. We are Sonic Age, thank you for letting us rock you!

Rockin'Jacob's Again!!
Hey All You Crazies,
We're getting ready to go back and rock the hell out of Jamestown this weekend so make sure you get out to Jacobs Gable Inn and join the party!! Last time we we're there it was awesome and we hope to outdo ourselves this time. We'll also be unveiling a whole pile of merchandise that we are unloading for 5 bucks per item(hats,do rags,thongs,t-shirts etc). And we may even throw out some stuff for free. Geneva on the Lake

Hey All,

Had a great time at the Cove Friday night and we're looking forward to many more slammin' nights in Geneva on the Lake, OH. Those people know how to party. And the staff and management are first class people. Unfortunately no one brought a camera so I guess those images will just have to live on in my memory. Sonic Age fever is steadily spreading throughout the Western Pa-Eastern OH area and we look forward to invading a club near you. Keep a lookout in the Sharon Herald and on our website for future show dates so you can be part of the action.
We also have tons of new shirts, hats, stickers and the like all sporting the new Sonic Age logo. If you're lucky, you may even get to nab some stuff for free at one of our shows!! And don't forget our upcoming full length CD coming up at the end of '06. Well I've typed enough for now so I'll leave you with this parting thought - There's lots of awesome stuff in the works for Sonicage coming very,very soon so hang on for a sweet summer because we're just getting started!

Hello again,

Just a quick note, we had a great time @ Victory Lanes last week. Don & his crew treat us well and we love playing there. Thanks to everyone who hung out all night and partied with us even though we know you had to go home and hide the Easter Eggs!

We have a ton of cool things coming up for the Spring and Summer, a few new places to play, some of the old stand-boys will get the Sonic Age treatment, summer-time style & as always we hope to see you all out and partying with us!

There is some HUGE news on the horizon for the band, we can't divulge it all right now, but there will be an official announcement forthcoming. In the meantime we are working on adding some new songs to the set and finishing up work on our next CD. We should have it done in time for the Holiday Season and it will be available on our web site(s) and all major music stores in the area! The whole band is very excited about the record (yes, I said record, sue me!) and we hope you all enjoy it when it is released. We will be doing some select shows in the Winter promoting the release with an all original set, so watch for that announcement as well a a HUGE release party when the CD finally drops!

Lots of great things ahead for us, we appreciate everyone's love & support, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys and we never forget that. For a band like ours to survive and re-unite after all these years is something special and all 4 of us are committed to keeping it alive and providing fun and good times for as long as we can....And you're ALL invited to the party!

Anyway, we have a show Saturday at Victory Lanes in Champion, one of many great venue's we play. This is our last show for a few weeks, we will be taking a much needed break to work on some new covers and continue work on our CD.
